Rev. Joel Remmers
Senior Pastor
Rev. Joel Remmers was called by First St. Paul's in August 2005. Pastor Joel graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary (MDiv),and was ordained in the summer of 1990.

He has served in parishes in Texas, Ohio, and Kansas. However, Pastor Joel is not new to Nebraska. Although he grew up in Illinois, his grandparents lived near Beatrice throughout his childhood.

Pastor Joel has three children with his wife, Kim. Pastor Joel enjoys camping, and loves the opportunity ministry gives him to meet new people.

Rev. Adam White
Associate Pastor
Adam joined the team at First St. Paul's in July 2004 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministries. Adam received a call to the position of Associate Pastor in May 2006. Prior to coming to First St. Paul's, Adam served as a youth minister in Gardner, KS.

Adam has completed a BA (Hastings College, 2000) and an MA (Nazarene Theological Seminary 2004) in theological studies. He is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

He also played with the award-winning Christian rock band "simpletruth" from 1998-2001.

Adam is married to Amanda (Wright) originally from Superior, NE. The Whites have two daughters, Sophia Grace and Olivia Joy.

Becky Mohling
Director of Christian Education
Becky joined First St. Paul's Church Sept. 2, 2008. She is married to Steve who is employed at MARC in Clay Center, NE. They reside on a farm in Glenvil, NE.

Becky has served as a Youth Director in St. Peter, MN and Jackson, MN.

Her hobbies include; gardening, animals on the farm, camping and being with her Grandchildren.

DeAnn (Dee) Faimon Kohmetcher
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Dee has been with First St. Paul's since October 1983. She is married to Don, a self-employed farmer and owner of a small business, Dragger's Digging Service. They reside in Deweese, Nebraska.

Shirley Koger
Congregational Service Representative
A member of First St. Paul's since 1987, Mrs. Koger has served on the staff part-time since October of 1999. She is married to Ron who farms North of Hastings.

Ashley Wolfgang
Congregational Service Representative
Ashley joined First St. Paul's in Septmeber of 2008 as the Congregational Service Representative. She has earned a B.S. in Business Administartion with an emphasis in Marketing from the Univeristy of Nebraska at Kearney. She is married to Nate, who is employed by Chief Ethanol Fuels Inc. They reside in Hastings, Nebraska.

Jerry McCoy
Building Manager
Jerry has been on board with First St. Paul's since 2000. He has been a member of First St. Paul's for over 40 years. He is married to Nancy, who is the Association Executive for the Hastings Board of Realtors. They have 3 children, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

Kay Sommerfeld
Custodian
Kay joined the First St. Paul's Staff in April of 2009. She has two children, Katie - 15 and Emil - 10. Kay's family has been living in Hastings for 10 years now, 10 years! Kay received her degree in Applied Science from CCC in May 2007. Kay enjoys her children and being close to her parents.

Michael Haake
Custodian
Mike is a graduate of Hampton High School. He retired from Sara Lee Bakery after 26 years of service. He is currently employed full-time at Hastings College as a custodian. He is married to Sheryl (Pelowski) Haack and has 3 children: John (married to Eden), Megan and Gage. He has been a member of First St. Paul's since 1993.
